Suzy’s Zoo’s Witzy Quacker will be participating in the 2012 White House Easter Egg Roll

San Diego, CA / Washington, DC, April 3, 2012 - The 2012 Easter Egg Roll, which takes place on the South Lawn of the White House, is focused on promoting health and wellness with the theme, “Let’s Go, Let’s Play, Let’s Move!”  All of the activities, including sports courts, dancing and cooking encourage children to lead healthy and active lives, which is a central part of the First Lady’s Let’s Move! initiative, a national campaign to combat childhood obesity.

Suzy’s Zoo was created in 1968 by award-winning artist, Suzy Spafford, and evokes the spirit of a simpler, safer world.  The animations use clean, bright natural colors and realistic shapes, creating a familiar-seeming and friendly universe.  While instantly appealing, Suzy’s Zoo also retains originality and individuality.

The brand includes three character sets – Little Suzy’s Zoo, Duckport and Wags and Whiskers – and is appealing to all demographics.  Suzy’s Zoo is a happy world of over 265 characters that live in her wonderfully imaginative town of Duckport.  Witzy, Suzy Ducken, Jack Quacker and friends are featured parts of this brightly colored universe.

“We are honored to have Witzy participate in the White House Easter Egg Roll again this year!” said Suzy’s Zoo creator, Suzy Spafford.

“Witzy is the perfect addition to the White House Easter Egg Roll,” said Catherine Malatesta, President of Lawless Entertainment, Suzy’s Zoo’s worldwide agent for licensing, merchandising, publishing, and animation.
