San Diego, CA, September 2, 2015 – Lawless Entertainment is delighted to announce a deal with Public Media Distribution, LLC to handle the U.S. and Canadian home entertainment distribution rights for the new Suzy’s Zoo animated series Adventures in Duckport, which is currently in production with Mondo TV.

The complete series will be composed of 52 x 11 minute 2D HD episodes and will be distributed by Mondo TV worldwide, except in North America which will be managed by Public Media Distribution, LLC. Lawless Entertainment will handle worldwide licensing and merchandising (except for some territories reserved to Mondo TV group) as well as distribution in North America.

BBC veteran Theresa Plummer-Andrews will serve as script editor for the series. Theresa’s vast experience with kids’ television will play a crucial role in developing a successful series.

The Adventures in Duckport series will feature the original Suzy’s Zoo character set, which includes the duck Suzy Ducken and her friends Jack Quacker, Penelope O’Quinn, Corky Turtle and others. The series will be targeted to children ages 4-8 and will follow the fun-filled adventures of these adorable characters as they interact, and show respect and love for, the elder members of their community. Suzy, Jack, Penelope, Corky and all their friends will do their best to help their elderly neighbors, even if they end up in a pickle doing so!

A sample of the Adventures in Duckport animated series will be presented for the first time at MIPCOM 2015.

In March 2015, Public Media Distribution, LLC released Suzy’s Zoo: A Day with Witzy ($6.99) on DVD. This DVD is approximately 50 minutes and features 26 adorable two-minute stories that follow the duckling Witzy and his stuffed animal friends.
