Los Angeles, August 16, 2012 – Lawless Entertainment is pleased to announce the conclusion of a deal with Galison/Mudpuppy on behalf of The Little Prince.
Mudpuppy, a division of Galison Publishing, will develop puzzles, a locked diary, colored pencils, stencils and more utilizing art from The Little Prince. The merchandise will initially debut in the US in January 2013 and in May 2013 in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Additional items will be released in August 2013 in the US and December 2013 in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
The Little Prince, first published in 1943, is a novella and the most famous work of the French aristocrat writer, poet and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The novella is both the most read and most translated book in the French language, and was voted the best book of the 20th century in France, maintaining sales of over one million copies per year worldwide. Translated into more than 250 languages and dialects, with sales totaling more than 200 million copies, it has become one of the best-selling books ever published.
Mudpuppy has 20 years of expertise in designing children’s gifts based on artwork from children’s literature.
