The Los Angeles-based agency will represent Running Blind, a romantic comedy

Los Angeles, April 7, 2015 – Lawless Entertainment is delighted to announce their appointment as worldwide representative for Running Blind, an inspirational romantic dramedy where a beautiful woman finds herself and love while guiding a blind Afghanistan War veteran through training for the San Francisco Marathon.

Amanda, a directionless barista nearing thirty, breaks up with her Type-A techie boyfriend when she finds he’s more interested in a younger, hotter woman. Determined to get back into shape she decides to train for the marathon with John, an emotionally isolated veteran who volunteers at the Disabled Veterans Center.

Lawless Entertainment is seeking co-production partners for the project.

“This is not your sappy 90s romcom - I used to get so emotional describing Act 3 to friends I would not be able to talk at times and it still brings a tear to my eye every time I read it (and I know how it ends),” says Stan Bradbury, creator of Running Blind.

“When Stan showed me the draft, I could see the story had legs, so to speak, and was glad to partner with him on it,” says co-author, Manda Pepper Langlinais. “Between us, I think we ended up with something both funny and heartwarming, something in potentially the same vein as Silver Linings Playbook and films of that order.”
