Concept
The Wompkees is a children’s property that takes place in Wompkee Wood, where Wompkees play and children grow.

Twig, Scout, Buster, Daisy, Hummer, and Gran are the Wompkees, each with a unique personality and always full of curiosity, fun, and adventure. Together they find themselves in various predicaments – sometimes humorous, sometimes “uh-oh”, but one way or another, the Wompkees find a way to save the day.

The primary audience is boys and girls ages 3-8. Parents will love the way kids embrace and pay attention to the movie, and can feel comfortable that the messages are safe and sincere.

The Wompkees have two full-length (52 mins), High Definition DVD’s (“A Very Wompkee Christmas” and “Hidden Treasure of Wompkee Wood”) as well as a hardcover book, “A Very Wompkee Christmas.”

“The Hidden Treasure of Womkpee Wood” took the Silver Award for best independent film of the year for ages 3-8 at the Kids First International Film Festival, the largest children’s film festival in the world.

“A Very Wompkee Christmas” was offered to public television by American Public Television and was aired in 20 of the top 25 markets and 145 stations in all. It was also picked up by Starz Kids and Family and also has been distributed in over 50 countries.

Both films have been recommended by the Board of Kids First aka The Coalition For Quality Children’s Media.

Twig Wompkee is the longest continuously appearing character in the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
