San Diego, USA / Azumino, Japan March 5, 2012 – The original artwork of Suzy Spafford, creator of the world-renowned brands Suzy’s Zoo (aka Duckport), Little Suzy’s Zoo and Wags and Whiskers, will be featured at an art exhibit in Azumino, Japan.
The exhibit will take place at the Azumino Ehonkan Picture Book Museum from March 1 – June 25, 2012 and will include original paintings, greeting cards, picture books, early sketches and some of Suzy’s favorite art supplies and materials.
Azumino is a quaint town of 100,000 that lies between two mountain ranges and is a popular tourist destination among Japanese hikers.
The exhibit at the Azumino Ehonkan Picture Book Museum marks the fourth stop of the Suzy’s Zoo moving art exhibit, sponsored by Shibuya Publishing. The next stop will be the Daimaru Museum in Kyoto in August 2012.
Going on seven years now in Japan, Suzy’s Zoo licensed art and stories have been building a dedicated following with the Japanese people.
